The Universities Fund welcomed a delegation from the Zambia Higher Education Authority on a benchmarking visit to learn about student financing.
Universities Fund Ag. CEO Dr Edwin Wanyonyi hosted the team led by Dr Martin Mushumba, Director of Quality Assurance.
The delegation came to learn about the Student-Centred Funding Model (SCFM) and scholarship programmes as part of its broader efforts to strengthen higher education financing systems.
Discussions focused on the design, implementation and impact of SCFM as well as best practices in scholarship administration, governance and sustainability within the sector.
The parties also shared knowledge on approaches aimed at enhancing access, equity and efficiency in allocation of student support resources.
Dr Wanyonyi reaffirmed UF’s commitment to improving regional collaboration and peer learning to bolster financing systems and improve service delivery.
